NTS With A Dash of AI
Look, man, we’ve all been there. One day you’re looking at your portfolio thinking you’re the next Wolf of Wall Street because you put your life savings into “Doge-Rocket-Elon-Mars-Coin,” and the next day you’re selling your plasma just to afford a side of ranch. That’s where our protagonist, “MC, Anon, You” finds himself in this standout adult game.
He’s cratered his net worth, lost the city apartment, and is now dragging his smokeshow girlfriend, Suzie, to a rental in Moonripple Lake to avoid the ultimate indignity: having to get a job. It’s a genius move—if your definition of genius is “running away from your problems into a town that’s definitely hiding some spooky-ass secrets.”
Moonripple Lake
Anon and Suzie are moving to Moonripple Lake!
In the wake of his cratering crypto-gained net-worth, Anon is selling their apartment and moving to rent a house, so he might stave off the inevitable. Having to get a job. A genius decision? We’ll find out.
Story and Writing: The “Wholesome” Hustle
The writing here is doing something most Adult visual novel titles fail at—it actually makes you like the people involved. Usually, in these games, the dialogue is about as deep as a puddle in a drought. But Banana Cream Games actually gives MC and Suzie a relationship that feels… real? Even when they’re talking about things that would make a therapist take an early retirement.

The story is a mix of “slice-of-life” and “what the hell was that noise in the basement?” There’s a supernatural mystery bubbling under the surface involving cults and strange history that keeps you clicking even when your hands are… occupied. The pacing is mostly solid, though some of the later chapters (looking at you, Chapter 6) feel a bit like the dev was trying to sprint to the finish line. It’s a Netorase (NTS) story, but without the soul-crushing depression found in many 2026 adult games. Story is about a couple that actually likes each other, a couple that also likes to explore some wild-ass kinks together. It’s like a romantic comedy, if the comedy involved watching your girlfriend tease a guy until he passes out.
Graphics and Visuals: Confronting the AI Reality
Now, let’s talk about the robot in the corner. When you see 2,000 renders and 100+ animations produced by a small indie dev, you aren’t looking at a miracle of human productivity; you’re looking at AI art doing the heavy lifting. Moonripple Lake doesn’t hide this, but as players, we need to confront it.

Is it “real” art? Who cares when it looks this good? BCG is using the tech as a force multiplier. You can tell these renders aren’t just “one-and-done” prompts. They’ve been painted over, fixed, and adjusted by hand to keep characters like Suzie and Cee looking consistent. You’ll catch the machine’s fingerprints occasionally—a weird finger or a background that feels a bit “dream-logic”—but for an indie project, the AI art allows for a massive amount of content that would take a human studio years to finish. It’s high-quality “Western Cartoon” style, vibrant and colorful.
The reason I’m not throwing this game in the “AI Trash” bin is the intent. Most AI games are “get rich quick” schemes—low-effort prompts with zero narrative. But even that is changing.

The dev is using the tool to build a world they clearly care about, rather than letting the tool build the world for them. They’ve managed to maintain a “Western Cartoon” style that feels cohesive, which is no small feat when the AI constantly wants to default to “generic 3D anime girl #502.”
We have to confront the fact that AI is the new “Unity Asset Store.” It’s a shortcut. But a shortcut still leads somewhere. In the case of Moonripple Lake, it leads to a town that looks gorgeous at a glance, even if the closer you look, the more you realize the grass is made of math. I will dive deeper into the AI of things in my next article.
Sex Elements: The Kink Cabinet
As an adult game, Moonripple isn’t shy. It’s got a buffet of kinks: exhibitionism, sharing, voyeurism, and some optional futa/femboy content. The standout here is the NTS (Netorase) dynamic. Usually, in these games, the MC is either a total “beta” loser crying in a closet or a pimp. Here, it feels like a mutual decision.
NTS (Netorase): Short for the Japanese term Netorase, NTS is a genre of adult games focused on “consensual sharing.” Unlike NTR (Netorare), which usually involves betrayal, cheating, or heartbreak, NTS is about a couple—often a “Stag” and a “Vixen”—who mutually agree to open their relationship. It emphasizes communication, shared pleasure, and the thrill of exhibitionism or voyeurism rather than the destruction of the relationship.
The group scenes are where the game truly shines. The dev understands that group sex is about the connection between everyone, not just the MC. The dialogue during these scenes is top-tier teasing. It’s the kind of stuff that makes you go, “Oh, they really went there.” And the best part? A lot of it is optional. If you’re not into a specific kink, the game often lets you steer the ship elsewhere.
Gameplay: More Than Just a Clicker
You’ve got your standard Adult visual novel choices that actually affect the story, but there’s also a “Free Roam” mode. You get a map of the town, you can visit different locations, and you can hunt for “Polaroids”—hidden sexy renders that act as collectibles. It’s a nice break from the “click-read-click” cycle. There are achievements, a gallery to revisit your “favorite moments,” and enough secret paths to warrant a second playthrough.

Sound and Other Elements
The sound design is the unsung hero. There are a ton of custom songs—some AI-assisted, but all fitting the “vibe.” The SFX during the adult scenes are… well, they’re descriptive. You might want to keep the headphones on for this one, unless you want your neighbors thinking you’re running a very loud, very rhythmic construction site. There’s even some light voice acting at key moments that actually adds to the tension rather than being cringey.
Overall Package: Having it all
Moonripple Lake is a hell of a ride. It takes a genre that’s usually filled with low-effort asset flips and actually tries to tell a story with heart, humor, and a whole lot of heat. The AI art usage is handled with enough human oversight to make it feel professional, and the relationship between MC and Suzie is the glue that holds all the kinky madness together.

It’s got mystery, it’s got drama, and it’s got scenes that’ll make your ancestors blush. If you can get past the “AI-ness” and you’re down for a story about a couple that shares everything, this is easily the best NTS game of 2026.
Final Verdict – 8.5/10
It’s the best thing to come out of a crypto-crash since… well, nothing. Just play the damn game.
